Natural Herbal Home Remedies For Snakebite

  • Apply a flat tourniquet between the bite site and the hear loose enough to allow one finger beneath it.  Do not apply and remove intermittently.  Loosen as swelling develops.

  • Grind 5 gms each of basil leaves and black pepper; instill a drop of this in each nostril of the victim.

  • Take mullein leaves, beat them until juicy, and make a poultice to use for snake bites; will draw the poison out and reduce swelling.

  • Grind the root of the basil plant in a little butter and apply on the bitten part.

  • Black cohosh syrup helps to relieve pain. Take 1/2 to 1 tablespoon of the syrup three times daily.
