Natural Herbal Home Remedies For Earache

  • If you puncture a piece of garlic and pour the juice in the ear it will help to take the pain away. Garlic has a natural antibiotic, so use it, and see if it helps.

  • Chew gum or yawn to relieve the pain, if the earache is due to altitude change (in aero plane).

  • Pound fenugreek seeds and put them in hot oil. Filter and cool it to a bearable temperature. This oil should be used as eardrops.

  • A tablespoonful of mustard or sesame-seed oil, heated with a clove of garlic or a pinch of omum, then filtered and cooled to a bearable temperature, can be instilled (1-2 drops) in the ear. Tilt the head so that the oil goes into the ear, and hold the head in that position for a minute or so. Do this twice a day for 2-3 days.

  • Gently blow through your nose while holding both nostrils closed until you hear a pop. This helps promote ear drainage and can be done several times a day.

  • One or two drops of holy basil-leaf juice in the ear in beneficial for an earache.
